Our vision is to see every teen leave high school in a
cap and gown with the mentality that failure is not an option.
MISSION
To eliminate teenage idleness in Bed-Stuy and similar NYC neighborhoods through education, recreation and partnerships.
How we define terms:
Teen Idleness:
When
teens are in a changeless situation of inactivity and lack the
motivation to participate in positive out of school or academic
activities.
partnerships:
PR-G partnerships include the relationships between community members
(teen to adult, teen to teen, adults to adults, etc) in order to create
a more caring community. In addition, on the macro level,
organizational partnerships form the coalition that helps to create the
resource component in support of NYC youth.
2009/10 PRIMARY OBJECTIVES
Form citywide strategies encompassing an array of youth-service organization, with aspirations to engage youth through enticing outreach and programmatic appeal.
Implement a web-based resource for obtaining or identifying comprehensive out-of-school options for children in grades K-12.
