Foot Soldiers

• Foot Soldiers service is only available to Bed-Stuy
• Foot Soldiers only works with a youth force of high school students ages 14 - 19.
• Teens that live in Bed Stuy are more likely to work through this program than other teens.
• There are 13,550 owner occupied homes in Bed Stuy
• There are approximately 12,500 teens in Bed Stuy
• Foot Soldiers seeks to employ 1,500 young people to maintain the entire community
• Youth are currently paid $7.00/hr and generally work 6 hours a week.

ROP

• The next ROP class Will Begin in Winter 2008.
• ROP is a 22-week curriculum
• 6-12 professionals will be ROP's guest facilitators
• One ROP class consists of 12-15 participants
• To serve all the teens in Bed-Stuy, PR-G needs to run 1000 classes - projected cost:  $15,000,000 annually
• $1,250 per child, approximately $15,000 per class
