KAMALYA HERMOND, Member Service Manager Member Service Manager, was raised in the Bushwick, Brooklyn, NY. A minority community where there is a vast number of high crime and low high school graduation rates. In 2005 Kamalya joined Bed Stuy’s Project Re-Generation, Inc (PR-G) to shelter herself from the reign of negativity plaguing her community. Quickly becoming one of PR-G’s most active volunteers in 2006 she volunteered more than 40 hours weekly helping to build PR-G and gaining invaluable experience. Currently she now works with the Foot Soldiers as the Membership Services Manager and is pursuing her Associates in Accounting at Borough of Manhattan Community College (BMCC).

ANDRE CAMPBELL,Manager of Foot Soldiers, joined Project Re-Generation in 2003 as a Rites of Passage (ROP) program participant.  He was born and raised in Bedford-Stuyvesant, Brooklyn, NY. Growing up in a neighborhood with a reputation of toughness, violence and crime, many of his closest friends could not elevate over the community's ignorant demeanor, consequently resulting in their death or incarceration. Andre's upbringing inspired him to join PR-G and help guide his peers through PR-G's programs. Although being a "tough guy" has never been his preference, he learned to be tough in all aspects of life; not just the streets.  He is currently majoring in Criminal Justice at John Jay University with the intention on pursuing a career in law. Persistence, dedication, and passion will help him achieve his goals. He believes the youth in Bed-Stuy needs to be dedicated, passionate, and persistent; and with his experience and education he is eliminating teenage idleness.
