Foot Soldiers Snow Removal Team Member

POSTION SUMMARY: Seeking seasonal employees who will be part of our snow removal team. Candidates will remove snow from targeted areas to our standards.

ENVIRONMENT: Work is performed outdoors when it snows any day.

POSITION RESPONSIBILITIES:

Shoveling snow:

  • Ensure that each property’s cleaned according to these requirements (if they are not – 20% for each item not satisfactorily completed below):
  • Unless otherwise instructed Clear 75% of the sidewalk (leaving 25% of snow near curb) directly in front of the property
    • Clear a walking path (large enough for a shopping cart) in the remaining 25% of snow on the sidewalk to the street;
  • 100% of the front stairway (do not leave trace of snow, it can turn to ice);
  • 25% of the side entrance to front gate;
  • If there is a basement stairway, remove 100% snow from there;
  • Remove snow from stair banisters, garbage bin tops and gate; and
  • When doing Driveways ensure that the entrance to the driveway is free of snow

TIME REQUIREMENT: This job is based on snowfall which fluctuates. Typically we will need you to start after snow on random days as early 8AM or as late as 7PM. Most workers work 2 – 4 hours once they start shoveling.

JOB REQUIREMENTS:

  • Must be able to follow instructions and directions. Must also be able to follow a map
  • Must be able to shovel snow (position requires physical activity)
  • Must be able to lift and operate large cleaning equipment (including snow blowers)
  • Must have a reliable cell phone

COMPENSATION: Workers receive a list of homes in the area and are paid commission (per house). Workers do an average of 3 – 7 homes within the above time period. The payments below are based on properties completed according to the responsibilities above. $10 per house
